Back in April (holy cow, I am behind on blogging–wedding season will do that to you!) I had a crazy idea to put together a styled elopement shoot in Joshua Tree while I was out in Palm Springs visiting family and seeing Tim while he was on tour. I put out some feelers and was GOBSMACKED when my beautiful friends at Apotheca Flowers said they were up for a little adventure. Alyssa flew no less than four team members and all of her little ones across the country to construct and create everything you see above, including that amazing wooden box and painted golden backdrop (they go WAY beyond flowers over there). We were able to rope in a few other local friends/vendors (thank you AMR Calligraphy and Autumn Nomad) who could ship their creations, and made a few new friends in the area to round out the team! There is so much that we get creatively out of weddings, but collaborating with a team this talented in such a beautiful location is what really gives you those “soul points” sometimes.
